(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 12, the Provincial Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims coordinated with the Quynh Luu District Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims to hand over charity houses to Agent Orange/Dioxin victims in Quynh Hoa and Quynh Van communes.

The two victims of Agent Orange/dioxin whose houses were handed over this time are Mr. Nguyen Sy Hung, 82 years old, from village 4, Quynh Hoa commune, and Ms. Dau Thi Nga, from village 6, Quynh Van commune. After returning to his hometown after being discharged from the army in 1983, Mr. Hung was exposed to toxic chemicals - dioxin. For many years, his family has had to live in a small house, unable to repair or renovate.

As for Ms. Dau Thi Nga, she was born with the consequences of war, her whole body was paralyzed, she had to use a wheelchair, her two arms could not function like a normal person. But with her willpower and determination, Ms. Nga learned the craft of making paper rolls and now she teaches the craft for free to people in the same situation as her.

Knowing these circumstances, the provincial and district associations of Agent Orange/Dioxin victims supported 40 million VND for Mr. Nguyen Sy Hung to build a house and Ms. Dau Thi Nga to build a vocational training house. Up to now, these two houses have been completed and put into use, which is a very meaningful gift for them to overcome their fate and rise up in life.
