Quynh Luu: Pine forest fire in the border area of Quynh Tan - Quynh Chau
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 1:00 p.m. on June 10, a forest fire broke out in the pine forest area bordering Quynh Tan and Quynh Chau communes (Quynh Luu).

Accordingly, at the above time, some households in Quynh Thang commune discovered a large plume of smoke rising from the pine forest area at the junction between Quynh Tan and Quynh Chau communes. Upon discovering the incident, the local authorities were informed. Upon receiving the information, the protective forest management board, the forest rangers, the Quynh Luu forestry company, along with militia forces and local officials from Quynh Thang and Quynh Tan communes, arrived at the fire area to extinguish the fire. Because the fire was far from residential areas, the entire firefighting force had to use tree branches to extinguish the fire, and at the same time use knives to clear a path to prevent the fire from spreading to other areas.

After 2 hours of firefighting efforts, the fire was basically under control.
