Quynh Luu: Boat sinks, two fishermen missing

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 23, Mr. Ho Hoang Nghiep - Chairman of Tien Thuy Commune People's Committee, Quynh Luu District informed that a boat sinking incident had just occurred in the commune, leaving two fishermen missing.

Accordingly, at 3:00 p.m. on December 20, two brothers, Nguyen Van Hien - born in 1993 and Nguyen Van Hue - born in 1995, residing in Son Hai village, Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, used a boat to catch shrimp. By dawn on December 21, they lost contact. After receiving the information, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station coordinated with local authorities to conduct a search. By the afternoon of the same day, the boat was found but the two fishermen were still missing. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Head of Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station said: After receiving the information, the Station coordinated with local authorities to call on a number of large-capacity boats anchored at Lach Quen port to go to the location of the two missing fishermen to search.

Currently, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station and local authorities are actively searching for the above victims.
