Quynh Luu: Congress of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of March 20, the Association of Agent Orange - Dioxin Victims of Quynh Luu district held its 2nd Congress (term 2013-2018).

During the past term, the Association of Agent Orange-Dioxin Victims in Quynh Luu district has had many practical activities to help Agent Orange victims and their families mentally and materially, helping them to ease their pain and disadvantages, and to stabilize their lives.

With the support of the Provincial Agent Orange Association, agencies, units, kind-hearted people and businesses, the District Agent Orange - Dioxin Association has supported the construction of 8 houses for the families of victims, donated 12 savings books, 12 wheelchairs, 682 gifts... with a total amount of 428,400,000 VND.

Fundraising work is also of interest to the District Association to help members develop the economy, visit and encourage families in difficult circumstances...

In the 2013-2018 term, the Association set a goal of having more practical activities to help members, striving to support 2 extremely disadvantaged families to build houses with an amount of 25-30 million VND each year, awarding 4 scholarships to students who are victims of Agent Orange, supporting 3-5 families to develop the economy...

The Congress elected a new Executive Committee of 15 comrades. Mr. Nguyen Sy Bay was re-elected as Chairman of the Association of Agent Orange-Dioxin Victims of Quynh Luu District for the 2013-2018 term.
