Quynh Luu: Grand incense offering ceremony in memory of King Le Dai Hanh

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 6, or March 7 (lunar calendar), the Le clan council of Quynh Luu district in coordination with Quynh Van commune solemnly held a grand incense offering ceremony to King Le Dai Hanh and Le Loi on the occasion of the 1009th anniversary of his death.

King Le Dai Hanh, whose real name was Le Hoan, was the first king of the Early Le Dynasty, reigning from 980 to 1005. In Vietnamese history, Le Hoan was an emperor who was both a civil and military man, an outstanding diplomat and domestic politician, who had the merit of defeating the Song, pacifying the Champa, expanding the territory, preserving and consolidating national independence, and building and creating a peaceful and prosperous Dai Co Viet country.

With the ethics of drinking water, remembering its source, showing gratitude and honoring ancestors, with the consensus of the Le Family Council of Vietnam, the Le Family Council of Nghe An as well as functional departments, the Le Family Council of Quynh Luu coordinated with the People's Committee of Quynh Van commune to organize a grand ceremony to offer incense to King Le Dai Hanh on the occasion of the 1009th anniversary of his death.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of 137 Le clans in Quynh Luu district and descendants of the Le clan from different hometowns. Through this, descendants were able to express their gratitude to the great contributions of their ancestors and their determination to unite to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous.

On this occasion, the Le Nghe An clan council honored 35 typical clans and 17 individuals who have contributed to glorifying the Le clan of Vietnam./.
