Quynh Luu: Great ceremony to worship the god of Cong Temple

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of April 23 (March 14th of the lunar calendar), Quynh Hung commune, Quynh Luu district held the opening ceremony of the 2013 Cong Temple festival.

Cong Temple in Quynh Hung Commune, Quynh Luu District was built in 1471 to commemorate those who contributed to the people and the country. The people worshiped at the temple are: General Dinh Le; General Dinh Liet and 53 ancestors who contributed to the establishment of the village. The temple is also the place where many important historical events took place serving the revolutionary cause of the locality and the nation.

In 2011, the Temple was recognized as a historical and cultural relic by the People's Committee of Nghe An province. Every year, on the 14th and 15th of the third lunar month, the cadres and people of Quynh Hung commune solemnly organize a great ceremony to worship the gods and offer incense and flowers at the temple.
