(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, November 13, 2012, Quynh Luu district coordinated with Quynh Hong commune People's Committee to solemnly organize the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of Historical Relic -art architectureProvincial levelElephant Temple.

The Voi Temple relic was built during the Later Le Dynasty, and is a place to worship and commemorate local gods and ancestors who have contributed to the construction and protection of the homeland and the country, typically Phan Van Bai, Ho Canh Xi and Nguyen Van Thoi... They were honest, virtuous, talented, and skilled in martial arts officials who participated in many major battles and made many achievements in helping the country and pacifying the people, so they were awarded many times by the royal court. In the year Canh Than (1800), the 7th year of Canh Thinh, the three men were awarded 3 royal decrees. Then in the year Mau Than (1848), the 1st year of Tu Duc, the three men were awarded a second royal decree by the King. In addition, they helped people reclaim wasteland, with 124 hectares of rice fields to increase production, bringing a prosperous and happy life to the people.



Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the Certificate of recognition of historical and architectural relic to Quynh Luu district.

The Voi Temple relic is also a place that marks the historical events of the Nghe Tinh Soviet revolutionary movement 1930 - 1931. The resistance movement against the French and the Americans, a place to gather fighting forces, a military food reserve to serve the troops stationed in the area and a school... This is a relic that still preserves quite intact the original construction items, large scale, sophisticated architecture, ancient, sacred and many valuable artifacts of great value in history, culture, science, fine arts and cultural activities, beliefs during festivals such as: praying for peace, praying for blessings, folk games... have contributed greatly to the research, study of customs, habits, tangible and intangible cultural identity and traditional education of the locality.


Every year, in early spring, especially on the occasion of the Ky Phuc festival on March 16 (lunar calendar), thousands of tourists and people from all over the world gather here to burn incense, show their respect, gratitude, and commemorate the ancestors who have contributed to building and protecting the country and homeland.


With the great values ​​and contributions of the relic, Voi Temple was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a historical - architectural and artistic relic according to Decision No. 3611/QD.UBND.VX dated September 19, 2012./.
