(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 30, at the Hall of the Quynh Luu Department of Education and Training, the Education Trade Union in coordination with the Quynh Luu Former Teachers Association organized a meeting with former teachers who went to B (participated in the war in the Southern battlefield before April 30, 1975) and relatives of teachers who went to B and passed away.

During the resistance war to save the country, in response to the Party's call "All for the South", "All to liberate the South, unify the country", millions of children of the North enthusiastically set out on the "Truck along Truong Son to save the country", including many cadres and teachers of the Education sector. Participating in the B army of the Education sector, Quynh Luu district had 21 cadres and teachers participating.

After saying goodbye to their beloved school, colleagues and students, the teachers enthusiastically set out across Truong Son to the South to fight the enemy. The battlefield was fierce, but with a passionate and determined patriotism, the teachers successfully completed their mission, contributing to the cause of liberating the South and unifying the country. Among them, many teachers and soldiers remained on the battlefield forever, such as Mr. Kieu Ngoc That and Mr. Van Duc Yen. Some teachers stayed to work in the South, but most of them returned to their homeland to continue their career of educating people.

Overview of the meeting.

During the reunion of the teachers who went to B, many people could not hide their emotions when meeting friends, colleagues, and comrades who had once shared the hardships and joys on the battlefields of the South. Some people had gray hair but when they met their old friends, they were so happy and surprised that they cried, hugging each other in choked emotions. During the meeting, the delegates recalled the years of arduous but heroic fighting.

Many teachers have retired but for many years have still contributed to the education cause through activities such as encouraging learning and talent, and teaching children and grandchildren.

In this meaningful and emotional meeting, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to the teachers who went to B and the relatives of the deceased teachers who went to B as a gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations of teachers.
