Quynh Luu: Meeting with wounded soldiers and representatives of the Association of War Veterans and Youth Volunteers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 6, Quynh Luu district organized a meeting with wounded soldiers and representatives of the Association of War Veterans and Youth Volunteers during the anti-invasion period to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2014).

The whole district of Quynh Luu has 52 war invalids, 338 members of the CCB Association and 124 former Youth Volunteers who are still alive and most of them are over 80 years old. In the warm and emotional atmosphere of the exchange, the veterans and Youth Volunteers shared and recalled the memories of a difficult and heroic time of the nation in the fight against foreign invaders, thereby reminding the young generation of the resounding Dien Bien Phu victory that shook the world 60 years ago. At the same time, educating the young generation with gratitude, respect and deep gratitude for the sacrifices and losses of the previous generation, thereby raising awareness of training, cultivating morality, and contributing to the cause of building and defending the country.

On this occasion, Quynh Luu district also presented gifts to war veterans and youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against France in general and the Dien Bien Phu campaign in particular.
