Quynh Luu: Table tennis tournament to celebrate the 69th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 16, at the Quynh Luu district gymnasium, the Quynh Luu district People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An province to organize a friendly table tennis tournament on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2014) and National Day September 2.

The tournament had 24 athletes who were leaders, athletes of the table tennis club of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, leaders of departments, units and athletes of the Quynh Luu table tennis club. During 1 day, the athletes competed in 3 events: men's singles 45 years old and above, men's singles under 45 years old and men's doubles. This tournament has practical significance to celebrate the 69th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2014) and National Day September 2. At the same time, responding to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", it is a playground for athletes to exchange and learn from each other's experiences in work as well as sports competitions. Thereby, contributing to increasing solidarity, tightening the relationship between the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An province and the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district.

At the end of the tournament, the organizing committee awarded 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 4 third prizes for the 2 categories of men's singles over 45 years old and men's singles under 45 years old. At the same time, 1 first prize, 1 second prize, and 1 third prize were awarded for the men's doubles category.
