(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of March 20, the Women's Union of Quynh Luu district coordinated with the Agricultural Extension Station of Quynh Luu district to organize a workshop on oyster mushroom growing model in Quynh Hong commune.
Oyster mushrooms are one of the clean, safe foods with high nutritional value. In recent years, this agricultural product has been sold at a good price on the market. In order to create jobs, increase income for farming households, open a new direction in economic restructuring, and reduce poverty in rural areas. With the attention and support of the district, the coordination between the Women's Union and the Agricultural Extension Station of Quynh Luu district has implemented a model of growing oyster mushrooms in Quynh Hong commune.

On November 18, the District Agricultural Extension Station organized a technical training course on oyster mushroom cultivation for 30 households. On January 26, Mr. Dang Minh Tam's family (in Hamlet 5, Quynh Hong Commune) tested planting 200 bags of mushrooms. After 40 days of planting, 400 kg of mushrooms were harvested, reaching a rate of 60%. Evaluation shows that oyster mushroom cultivation has a lower investment capital compared to other production industries, making use of post-harvest straw, solving the problem of environmental pollution, so it is highly economic efficient for farmers, contributing to the successful implementation of new rural construction.
In the coming time, the District Agricultural Extension Station will continue to replicate this model.
