Quynh Luu: Opening 2 classes on bamboo and rattan weaving for export

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 9 and 10, Dong Tam Vocational Training Center for Small Industry and Handicrafts in coordination with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Quynh Luu district organized the opening ceremony of 2 classes on rattan and bamboo weaving for export according to Decision 1956 QD-TTg of the Government on vocational training for rural workers.

Overview of the opening ceremony

Two export rattan weaving classes in 2015 were opened in Quynh Tan and Quynh Dien communes with a total of 74 students. Of which, the class in Quynh Tan has 34 students and the class in Quynh Dien commune has 30 students. The students are mainly women and some male workers who have lost their ability to work or are disabled. The class will take place over a period of 3 months, and students will be instructed in theory and practice by technical staff of Dong Tam Small and Medium Enterprises Center on weaving various types of export rattan weaving products such as lanterns, vases, makeup boxes, household items, etc.

After completing the course, the students will have solid skills. The Center will provide raw materials, organize production, and purchase products locally. This is a vocational training class opened under Decision 1956 on vocational training for rural workers, which will help women in the two communes take advantage of their free time, increase their family income, and thereby contribute to improving the quality of life./.
