Quynh Luu: Urgently call for ships to avoid storm number 14

(Baonghean.vn) - To proactively prevent and respond to the developments of storm No. 14, on the afternoon of November 8, the Standing Committee of the Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue Command of Quynh Luu district sent an urgent telegram to functional departments and coastal communes to seriously implement plans to ensure safety for people and fishing boats operating in the area.

According to current statistics, the entire Quynh Luu district currently has 1,123 vessels, of which 786 have a capacity of 20 CV or more. As of 8:00 p.m. on November 8, the entire district still has 225 vessels with over 2,000 workers that have not yet returned to the anchorage. Currently, these vessels have received information about storm No. 14 and are on their way to the harbor to avoid the storm.

To continue calling on ships operating at sea to promptly return to storm shelters, the Border Guard force of Station 148 - Quynh Thuan has notified ship owners via phone and walkie-talkie to promptly notify fishermen to quickly return to safe anchorages to reduce damage to fishermen's lives and property.
