Quynh Luu: Urgently call for ships to return to avoid storm number 2

(Baonghean.vn) - To prevent storm No. 2 named Rammasun, which continues to strengthen and will directly affect the Gulf of Tonkin and the Northern provinces, with the strongest winds near the storm center at level 11, level 12, gusting to level 13, level 14, accompanied by widespread heavy rain. Quynh Luu District is actively directing localities and Border Guard stations in the area to urgently call on vehicle owners in operation to return to places to avoid and take shelter from the storm.

Quynh Luu district currently has 1,170 vessels, including nearly 800 vessels with a capacity of 20 CV or more. As of this morning, July 18, all vessels of fishermen in Quynh Luu district have returned to safe anchorage. There are currently 35 vessels fishing offshore that cannot return to Lach Quen and Lach Thoi in time, so they have changed their anchorage to another area to ensure absolute safety before storm No. 2. To proactively prevent storm No. 2, the Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue Command of Quynh Luu district coordinates with Border Guard Station 148 - Quynh Thuan to regularly contact vessels operating at sea to inform them of the developments and direction of the storm so that vessels can proactively avoid it. At the same time, check the anchorage position of vessels to avoid collisions that cause damage to vessels.
