Quynh Luu: Rewarding achievements in military recruitment work in 2014

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 21, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district held a meeting to summarize the military recruitment work in 2014 and deploy tasks for 2015.

In 2014, the total number of young people enlisting in the whole Quynh Luu district was 252, reaching 105% (target 240). Of which, there were 12 young people following Catholicism, 5 young people of Thai ethnicity. To do well in the military recruitment work, the Military Command at all levels promptly advised the Party Committees and authorities, coordinated with departments, branches and unions to properly implement the military recruitment steps according to the plan. Directed well the propaganda and education of military service law among the people and young people. Organized training for 63 outstanding young people preparing to join the army to create a source for Party development in the Army.

Departments, branches and unions have organized activities such as meetings, cultural and artistic exchanges, incense offering, planting souvenir trees, giving savings books, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere before leaving for military service. The military rear work has received due attention. In 2014, Quynh Luu district assigned soldiers to 4 units, and no case was rejected.
