Quynh Luu, Que Phong: Launching response to Drug Prevention Action Month
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 25, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district held a launching ceremony to respond to the month of action against drugs and the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in 2014.
Up to now, in Quynh Luu district, 66 drug addicts and nearly 71 suspected drug addicts have been discovered in 12 communes and towns. Drugs are a super-profitable commodity, so criminals are very reckless and use many tricks to trade, store and smuggle this dangerous poison, so the drug situation is very complicated. With the goal of preventing, repelling and eventually eliminating drugs from life, at the launching ceremony, the leaders of Quynh Luu district called on all people to actively participate in drug prevention. Linking the campaign to build healthy communes, wards and towns with the movement of "all people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", striving to make Quynh Luu district a drug-free area in the coming years.
At the launching ceremony, 100% of communes and towns in Quynh Luu district signed a commitment to say no to drugs.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, all delegates and a large number of people marched in response to the 2014 Anti-Drug Action Month, traveling more than 10 km from the district cultural center to Quynh Long commune./.

Also on the morning of June 25, at the Que Phong District Cultural Information Center, a rally was held to respond to the month of action against drugs and the National Day against drugs (June 26) organized by the Que Phong District Youth Union in coordination with the District People's Committee.

Attending the rally were leaders of the District Party Committee, District People's Committee, representatives of departments, unions and more than 500 youth union members of agencies, units and communes and towns.
At the rally, the leaders of the District People's Committee and the District Youth Union launched a movement for the entire population to participate in detecting, denouncing, and fighting against drug crimes and evils, proactively and actively making records to send drug addicts to compulsory treatment facilities and organizing drug rehabilitation, vocational training, and post-rehabilitation management in the community. Focus on attacking and eradicating drug crimes; improve the effectiveness of coordination between sectors and levels in the process of organizing the eradication of complicated drug-related areas and hotspots. At the same time, organize the signing of commitments for 14 grassroots Youth Union Secretaries on not participating in buying, selling, storing, and using drugs.
Immediately after the rally, the propaganda forces marched on the roads from the district center to the commune clusters to propagate drug prevention to all people.
