Quynh Luu: National Highway 48B is seriously degraded.

(Baonghean.vn) - National Highway 48B runs through Quynh Luu district, nearly 25 km long, and is an important traffic route connecting Lach Quen estuary with the mountainous districts in the west of Nghe An. Every day, hundreds of vehicles travel on this route; due to lack of repair and upgrading, the section passing through Son Hai commune has seriously degraded, causing many traffic accidents.

The reason is that this road section does not have a drainage system, when it rains, the water is 40-50 cm deep, overflowing into people's houses, affecting daily life. The water is flooded, the roadway is not visible, so the visibility of vehicles participating in traffic is limited. This is also the traffic section with a large volume of heavy vehicles carrying ice, gasoline, oil from other regions and transporting aquatic products from Lach Quen Port to neighboring provinces for consumption. On rainy days, the road is slippery, many people want to avoid "potholes" and have to climb up the corridor, hitting electric poles and causing accidents; on the contrary, when it is sunny, dust flies everywhere, the roadway is convex in some places, concave in others.

The People's Committee of Son Hai commune has submitted a petition to higher authorities for repair; we hope that competent departments and branches will quickly intervene to soon have a plan to overcome the above situation, helping people travel more conveniently and safely.
