Quynh Luu: Summary of 5 years of implementing Resolution 09-NQ/HU

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of October 31, the Standing Committee of Quynh Luu District Party Committee held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Resolution 09-NQ/HU dated May 15, 2008 of the District Party Committee (term XXV) on promoting socialization and improving the quality of education and training until 2010 and the following years.

After 5 years of implementing Resolution 09, the awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, the education and training sector, the Fatherland Front and organizations on education and training development have changed. The quality of comprehensive education has been improved. The number of excellent students and students admitted to universities and colleges has increased. School facilities have been improved and become more spacious, basically meeting the teaching and learning needs of students.

In the 2012-2013 school year, 99.8% of children completed primary school, an increase of 1.5%; 86.87% of 15-18 year old students had a junior high school diploma; 100% of communes and towns achieved universal junior high school education; in 2013, universal preschool education for 5 year old children was achieved.

Overview of the conference summary

The quality of comprehensive education after 5 years has changed in a positive direction. In the 2012-2013 school year, 32.05% of primary school students were ranked as good and excellent, an increase of 11.1%; 22.7% of secondary school students were ranked as good and excellent, an increase of 3.25%; 93.1% of secondary school students graduated; 95.9% of high school students graduated and supplementary high school students graduated. The quality of ethics has changed, with a decrease in problem students. The movement of the Youth Union, Pioneers, Children's and Youth Union has changed quite clearly. The number of excellent students in the province and district continues to increase, making Quynh Luu one of the top districts in the province in terms of the number and percentage of excellent students in the province and country. In the 2012-2013 school year, Quynh Luu was ranked 3rd in the province's excellent students, up 1 place compared to the previous school year.

Along with improving the quality of education, the movement to encourage learning and talent continues to develop. In 5 years, the whole district has mobilized 31.66 billion VND in the learning encouragement fund, of which the family learning encouragement fund reached 8,983 million VND; awarded 899 students who won prizes and 587 teachers whose students won prizes at the provincial and national levels, 43 students passed the university entrance exam with 27 points or more, 11 students won the national Olympic prize with a total amount of 548.5 million VND and coordinated with sponsors to award 4,265 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances who strive to study well with a total amount of 936.5 million VND...

At the preliminary conference, the Standing Committee of Quynh Luu District Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in 5 years of implementing Resolution 09-NQ/HU dated May 15, 2008 of the District Party Committee (term XXV) on promoting socialization and improving the quality of education and training until 2010 and the following years./.
