Quynh Luu: Training on VSTBPN Board activities

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 30, the Committee for the Advancement of Women in Quynh Luu district held a training conference on the functions, tasks, and powers of the Committee for the Advancement of Women in communes and towns.

Overview of the training session

The training conference had 336 members of the committee for the advancement of women in 33 communes and towns participating. The conference heard an overview of the formation, structure, decision to establish the committee for the advancement of women; documents, policies, laws on gender equality and the functions, tasks, and powers of the committee. Thereby, to improve knowledge, understanding as well as foster professional skills and necessary skills in the work for the advancement of women and gender equality for members. At the same time, to exchange experiences on effective methods of operation for this work in typical localities in order to replicate it throughout the district.

Also at the training session, the district Women's Union coordinated with the district Women's Advancement Committee to launch a mobile female propaganda team consisting of 10 members from units related to the work of protecting the rights and interests of women and children such as: police, women's, justice, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Culture, and Population Center.
