Quynh Luu: Career training for secondary school teachers and staff

(Baonghean.vn) -On September 11 and 12, Nghe An Department of Education and Training organized a career guidance training for 85 vice principals, team leaders, and career guidance teachers of secondary and high schools (primary and secondary schools) in Quynh Luu district.

Career guidance in high schools aims toThe purpose is to help students gain knowledge about careers and be able to choose a career based on combining their personal aspirations and strengths with the labor needs of society. However, the organization of career guidance activities in most educational institutions in the past has encountered difficulties due to many reasons, the main reason being the lack of teachers trained in career guidance and lack of resources. That requires career guidance to innovate and update information on content, methods and information related to career guidance.

With the aim of effectively supporting career guidance, in 2012, the Flemish Organization for Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance (VVOB), Belgium, conducted research and consulted with leaders and teachers in the education sector of the two provinces of Quang Nam and Nghe An on the existing "9th grade career guidance teacher's book".

Through the training course, help students graspBasic career guidance theories are presented in the supplementary materials for teachers' books on career guidance activities;bKnow how to apply knowledge of the content in the document to trial teaching and give feedback on trial teaching hours; apply knowledge, organization methods and training methods in training classes and according to instructions in the document to organize activities with students.

After acquiring basic knowledge of the training course, trainees will deploy vocational education to teachers and students in secondary and high schools.
