Quynh Luu, Thanh Chuong: Negotiating the structure and number of People's Council delegates at all levels

- Implementing the Law on Election of People's Councils at all levels, the first consultation conference, 43 communes and towns of Quynh Luu district agreed on the number of candidates for the People's Council of communes and towns for the 2011-2016 term as 2,528 people, the number of elected delegates was 1,192 people. The composition and quantity include: 84 party officials, 390 government officials, 96 front officials, 443 member organizations, 186 business - service sectors, 155 education - health sectors; 1,174 hamlets; the structure is female 31.6%, non-party 21.2%, young people 21.6%, religious 5.2%, ethnic minorities 0.6%. Currently, organizations, agencies and units are holding conferences to introduce candidates for the People's Council according to the law.

-After the first consultation conference, up to now, the list of allocations and the composition of the number of candidates for the 17th term Thanh Chuong District People's Council has been determined as follows: The number of district People's Council delegates is 50. Of which, the district-level delegation bloc is 23, the commune-level delegation bloc is 24 and the intellectual and religious sectors have 3 delegates. Currently, the blocs and agencies are negotiating to unify and post the list of candidates for voters to study and refer to.
