Quynh Luu: Summary of the work of the ornamental plant association in 2014

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 13, the Quynh Luu District Ornamental Plants Association held a conference to summarize the association's work in 2014, deploy tasks in 2015 and award commemorative medals for the cause of ornamental plants in Vietnam. In 2014, the Quynh Luu District Association of Bonsai has made strong progress in both quantity and quality. The content of the association's activities has been well-organized and rich in content, creating a healthy and useful playground for members. Although the market for ornamental plants has decreased in price, the people of Quynh Luu still take care of and preserve the cultural beauty of ornamental plants. The rate of people who play with ornamental plants is from 75 - 80%. Many commune associations have members who maintain ornamental gardens with 50 - 100 pots of high artistic value such as Cau Giat, Quynh Hong, Quynh Thach, Quynh Hau. In the past year, the association also continued to mobilize agencies, schools, and commune stations to plant 100% of green trees. Organized and participated in many competitions and exhibitions in the locality and neighboring districts. In addition, the Association also proactively organized for members to visit and learn about the experiences of SVC activities of other units, organized training and improved flower growing techniques for over 70 participating members.

In 2015, the Quynh Luu District Ornamental Plants Association continued to improve and enhance the quality of branch activities. Continued to open short-term training courses to improve techniques for grassroots members; build the ornamental plant movement, develop more farms and gardens, and build ornamental plant into a highly effective ecological economic sector.

With the achievements, on this occasion, 35 members were awarded commemorative medals for the cause of developing ornamental plants in Vietnam. 3 groups and 5 individuals were commended by the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district and 4 individuals were commended by the district association.
