(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 26, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district held a conference to deploy the planning for socio-economic development and medium-term public investment for the 5-year period 2016 - 2020.

During the 1-day session, the delegates were informed and introduced by the district finance and planning department staff about the following contents: Directive No. 22-2014 of the Prime Minister on developing the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2016-2020; Directive No. 23-2014 of the Prime Minister on developing the 5-year Medium-Term Public Investment Plan 2016-2020 and a number of new legal documents; Guidance of the Ministry of Planning and Investment on developing the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan and Medium-Term Public Investment 2016-2020; Directive No. 13-2014 of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on developing the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2016-2020 of Nghe An province; Directive No. 14-2014 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the development of a 5-year medium-term public investment plan for 2016-2020 in Nghe An province; Directive No. 11-2014 of the Chairman of the District People's Committee on the development of a 5-year medium-term public investment plan for 2016-2020 in Quynh Luu district; Directive No. 12-2014 on the development of a 5-year socio-economic development plan for 2016-2020 in Quynh Luu district.

Speaking at the conference, the leader of Quynh Luu district emphasized: Building the 5-year socio-economic development plan for 2016-2020 is an extremely important and urgent task. Therefore, departments, branches and localities need to closely follow the instructions of the Department of Planning and Investment to make plans in accordance with the requirements. In particular, it is necessary to deeply analyze and evaluate the implementation of the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the period 2011-2015, ensuring a comprehensive assessment on all aspects, focusing on the goals, tasks and targets approved in the Resolutions of the Provincial and District Party Congresses; Resolutions of the Provincial and District People's Councils on socio-economic development for the 5 years 2011-2015.

Regarding the 2016-2020 medium-term public investment plan, the leaders of Quynh Luu district also requested localities and units to closely follow the 5-year socio-economic development plan for 2016-2020, in which it is necessary to focus resources on serving the breakthrough tasks of each sector and locality, focusing on infrastructure projects and essential projects serving economic restructuring and directly improving people's lives. The determination of capital sources must ensure feasibility and synchronization with the financial and budget plans of each sector and level, and well implement the socialization of investment in a number of permitted sectors and fields to mobilize resources for the development of the district./.
