Quynh Luu: Deploying tasks for the 2014-2015 school year

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 19, Quynh Luu district held a summary of the 2013-2014 school year and deployed tasks for the 2014-2015 school year.

In the 2013-2014 school year, the overall education quality of Quynh Luu district had many positive changes, with 5 students achieving national excellent English online, 341 excellent students at the provincial level, and 1,634 excellent students at the district level. In the 2014 university entrance exam, the district had 12 students in groups A, B, A1 achieving 27 points or more, 04 students in groups C, D achieving 24 points or more, including 02 students who were valedictorians of universities. School facilities were enhanced, the total funding from the mobilization to support the construction of school facilities was nearly 15 billion VND. During the year, 01 more school achieved national standard level 2, bringing the total number of national standard schools in the district to 65 (of which 7 schools achieved level 2), reaching a rate of 60.7%. In addition, the schools have coordinated well with the departments, branches, and unions of the district and commune to effectively carry out the emulation movements organized by the district and branches. From the above results, this school year, the Quynh Luu Education and Training Department was honored to be recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as an Excellent Labor Collective.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Le Duc Cuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee acknowledged the achievements of the education sector in the past school year, and at the same time requested the sector to focus on deploying and performing well a number of tasks in the coming school year, namely: preparing conditions to effectively implement Resolution 29-NQ/TW of the 11th Party Central Committee on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, Resolution 09-NQ/HU of the District Party Committee; continuing to improve the quality of comprehensive education; stabilizing the scale of schools, teachers, paying attention to the quality of remote schools, inter-commune schools; improving the quality of management staff, implementing well the democratic regulations associated with discipline and responsibility; promoting the work of socializing education, mobilizing people to support the construction of school facilities, national standard schools, paying attention to the work of encouraging learning, encouraging talents, etc.

At the Conference, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, awarded 18 Labor Labor Unions and presented Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 2 groups and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in education from the 2012-2013 to the 2013-2014 school year.
