Quynh Luu: Exciting Spring Newspaper Festival and Vietnam Poetry Day

(Baonghean.vn)- On the morning of February 19, Quynh Luu district organized the Binh Than Spring Newspaper Festival and the 14th Vietnam Poetry Day.

Mr. Ho Ngoc Dung, member of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district, beat the drum to open the festival.

This year's Spring Newspaper Festival of Quynh Luu district attracted 32 newspapers of commune units, 2 newspapers of Quynh Luu Tang Luat Poetry Association and Huong Que Club - Hoang Mai Town with 34 wall newspapers, 34 magazines. The total number of articles in this Spring Newspaper Festival is 640, including 28 prose articles, 530 poems, 5 songs, 35 couplets, 30 paintings and some jokes, puzzles, crossword puzzles.

Participating in this year's Spring Newspaper Festival, people were excited about the local achievements in the economic, cultural and social fields...

The content of the works closely follows the theme, reflecting important political, economic, cultural and social events of the country and locality such as sovereignty over seas and islands, building new rural areas, and welcoming the 12th National Party Congress.

Along with that, the theme of praising love for homeland and country, praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, good people, good deeds, good workers... is also clearly reflected.

At the press conference, in addition to poetry reading, poetry recitation, and exchanges with writers, poets, and a large number of poetry lovers inside and outside the district, the Organizing Committee honored collectives and individuals who have made many contributions to the local cultural and artistic movement and information and propaganda, including Quynh Hong commune unit winning first prize; Quynh Luu Tang Luat Poetry Association, Quynh Chau commune winning second prize; Quynh Hau commune, Quynh Yen, Cau Giat town, Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Thang winning third prize; 10 units winning consolation prizes.
