In the spring crop of 2015, Quynh Luu district strives to cultivate a total area of 13,050 hectares, with food output reaching about 55,600 tons, and the average production value per unit of cultivated area reaching 40 million VND/ha. Specifically, the rice area is 7,400 hectares, of which hybrid rice is 4,000 hectares, high-quality rice and glutinous rice is 3,000 hectares, other pure rice is 400 hectares; corn area is 950 hectares, peanut area is 1,150 hectares; vegetables, beans, and melons of all kinds are 1,030 hectares; sugarcane is 830 hectares...
The main rice varieties introduced by Quynh Luu district in the main structure in the 2015 spring crop are hybrid rice BTE1, Nhi Uu 986, Thai Xuyen 111, Kinh So Uu 1588, Bayer 27P31... and pure rice varieties including VT-NA2, TBR225, Song Lam 9, AD1... Corn is arranged with high-yield varieties such as CP888, CP999, NK66; peanuts are mainly arranged with peanut varieties L14, L23, L26 and TB25... The rice planting schedule is divided into 3 sessions, specifically session 1 for varieties with a growing period of over 135 days, sowing from December 31, 2014 to January 5, 2015 and transplanting from January 25 - 30, 2015; For Tea 2, for varieties with a growing period of 125 - 135 days, sow seedlings from January 16 - 25, 2015 and transplant from February 4 - 15, 2015; for Tea 3, for varieties with a growing period of less than 125 days, sow seedlings from January 20, 2015 and transplant from February 12, 2015.
In order to produce the 2015 spring crop as planned and with the best results, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district requires relevant departments, agencies and 33 communes and towns in the area to soon organize a conference to deploy the 2015 spring crop production plan down to the grassroots level so that farmers can grasp the crop schedule and seed structure. At the same time, it is necessary to effectively forecast the situation of pests and diseases, focus on preventing planthoppers right from the sowing stage, direct sowing in concentrated areas, and apply plastic covering to 100% of the seedling area to prevent cold. Along with that, continue to promote intensive investment, use high-quality, high-yield varieties to increase value and income per unit area; continue to select locations to build model fields, apply new technologies, encourage the expansion of commodity production areas in the form of production linkages to increase high income values in all regions and localities...
