Quynh Nghia: Seafood exploitation output at the beginning of the year reached over 2,000 tons

(Baonghean) - In less than 2 months at sea, fishermen in Quynh Nghia commune (Quynh Luu) have exploited over 2,000 tons of various seafood, worth over 5 billion VND.

Currently, the whole commune has nearly 200 vessels participating in fishing and seafood exploitation with a total capacity of 38,000 CV. Of which, nearly 80 vessels have a capacity of 300 - 900 CV, ensuring fishing in large fishing grounds.

The remaining have capacity from 90 to 300 CV. The whole commune has 106 vessels participating in capacity upgrading and career conversion. Quynh Nghia strives to achieve 15,000 tons of local seafood exploitation output in 2012, an increase of 4,000 tons compared to 2011.
