Quynh Nghia: Success from mobilizing people's strength in building new rural areas
(Baonghean) - Quynh Nghia commune (Quynh Luu district) is now bustling like a cluster of communes in the coastal area. The bustling atmosphere of labor and production from mechanical workshops, shipbuilding, carpentry, to fishing... are all developing, especially when the commune was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting new rural standards.
Once a poor commune, people lived mainly on fishing, agricultural production and salt making. In recent years, Quynh Nghia has developed many industries, quickly escaped poverty and become well-off. Although it is a rural area, each person does not have the concept of idle farming, always struggling to have year-round work, striving so that the average income per capita of the commune has reached nearly 30 million VND/year. From that potential, the construction of new rural areas in Quynh Nghia has been accelerated, reaching the new rural standards in 2014.
