Launch of Border Guard Strategic Research Board

Based on the requirements and tasks of the Border Guard in the new situation, requiring additional research and development in theory and practice in performing the tasks of building, managing and protecting border security and sovereignty appropriately, the Standing Party Committee and the Border Guard Command decided to temporarily establish the Border Guard Strategy Research Board.

Accordingly, the Border Guard Strategy Research Board under the Border Guard Command (the Border Guard General Staff manages the administration and military) consists of 5 comrades, headed by Colonel Nguyen Quang Dung, former Head of the Border Guard Department, Border Guard Academy.

The Border Guard Strategy Research Board has the function and task of researching and compiling strategic issues on border work; summarizing and researching the art of building, managing, and protecting national border security and sovereignty to promptly advise the Border Guard Command to propose to the Party, the State, and the Ministry of National Defense policies and guidelines on border work and building the Border Guard in the new situation.

NResearch theoretical and practical issues serving the task of managing and protecting territorial sovereignty, national border security, preventing all types of crimes in border areas, seas and islands; Coordinate with relevant agencies to participate in researching strategic topics and projects on building, managing, protecting national sovereignty and border security and building the Border Guard force; Coordinate with the Department of Science, Technology and Environment and agencies and units to organize seminars, foster and improve the capacity and methods of Border Defense scientific research for officers and soldiers in the entire force and perform other tasks assigned by the Border Guard Command.
