Launching the Advisory Councils of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to effectively implement the 2013 Constitution and Decisions 217 and 218 of the Politburo on the supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the Vietnam Fatherland Front participates in building a strong Party and government, as well as performing the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front according to the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on the morning of August 27, in Vinh city, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a launching ceremony for the Advisory Councils of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term 2014 - 2019. Attending the launching ceremony were leaders of the Mass Mobilization Committee, the Organizing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

The 2013 Constitution clearly defines the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in social life and the expectations of all classes of people for the Vietnam Fatherland Front in gathering and building a strong great solidarity bloc, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, and supervising and providing social criticism.

To contribute to improving the quality of the activities of the Fatherland Front in the new situation and to carry out many important tasks assigned by the Party and the State, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has established 3 Advisory Councils on Economics; Culture - Society; Democracy - Law, including 40 officials and experts in various fields, retired and incumbent, who have made many intellectual contributions, efforts and responsibilities to the development of the province in the past time and on the basis of the principles of voluntariness, intelligence, courage, responsibility and dedication to the current work of the Fatherland Front.

The requirement for the Provincial Fatherland Front Advisory Councils is to advise and assist the Fatherland Front at all levels in detecting difficulties and shortcomings at the grassroots level, and at the same time contribute ideas and efforts to help the Party and State revise and promulgate policies and guidelines suitable to the grassroots reality, meeting the requirements and aspirations of the people. In order to gradually put the Provincial Fatherland Front Advisory Councils into operation, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has developed a monitoring plan, initially coordinating with the sectors to conduct monitoring focusing on 3 contents: policies for people with meritorious services; supply of agricultural materials; environmental protection work.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Khoi - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission spoke at the launching ceremony.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Nguyen Manh Khoi - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, said that in order to gradually put the activities of the Provincial Fatherland Front's Advisory Councils into orderly and quality operation, contributing to the overall development of the province, he hoped that the members of the Provincial Fatherland Front's Advisory Councils, with their enthusiasm, would choose urgent and pressing issues that are arising in practice to do first, thereby drawing experience, while working and supplementing to perfect and bring the activities of the Advisory Councils to quality. On the side of the Provincial Party Committee's Party Building Commissions, they will always accompany and support the Advisory Councils to complete the assigned tasks.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the advisory councils held a meeting to discuss the regulations, viewpoints, and operating principles of each council as well as clarify the contents that need to be focused on monitoring, criticizing, and participating in contributing with the province to successfully implement Resolution 26 of the Politburo on Nghe An.
