(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of September 13, Le Loi Ward, Vinh City held the launching ceremony of the Nghe An Folk Song and Instrument Club. This is the 5th club out of 25 wards and communes of Vinh City to establish the Nghe An Folk Song Club.

The establishment of the Folk Song and Music Club in the wards and communes to preserve and promote the precious heritage left by our ancestors, and at the same time create a place for exchange and useful activities for those who love folk songs is a practical activity to create conditions to develop the ability, skills and improve the level of folk singing art among all classes of people in the area; promptly discover and nurture individuals with talent in this art. Thereby, it aims to preserve, exploit, collect and promote the traditional cultural values of Vi-Dam melodies, enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the people, aiming to propose UNESCO to recognize Nghe An Folk Songs as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
