With Music, students can listen to songs, watch performances of that song or sing along to the accompaniment, learn information about the musician through the extended materials for each lesson in the textbook. Similar to other subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Biology, Literature, students can exploit simulation experiments, images, maps, audio clips or documentaries or listen to poetry recitations, stories, thereby receiving lessons in the textbook in a more vivid and interesting way.

The multiple-choice testing mechanism on the computer with automatic scoring and timing capabilities helps students take mock tests or practice and then correct their own work. More importantly, the results will be recorded so that parents can monitor their children's progress.

In addition to the content on the device, Classbook users can also connect to the online bookstore and the Classbook Store application (http://classbook.vn/), is an address that provides an electronic educational book library including textbooks, supplementary books, teacher's books, reference books, soft skills books, etc.; learning applications and expanded resources for subjects such as simulation experiments, teaching materials, test and solution libraries, test preparation materials, learning materials... With an open model, the content on Classbook Store will be built and shared by publishers, content providers or online services for education and above all the teacher community itself.

With the teacher version, Classbook allows users to use additional reference materials, books, and other lectures via memory cards to serve the teaching process.

Classbook can be applied from grade 1 to grade 12, reaching nearly 15 million high school students in Vietnam, contributing to improving and expanding the ability to absorb knowledge. At the same time, the mechanism to control Internet connection and installed applications integrated in Classbook also helps parents feel more secure about their children using this device.

During the pilot phase, the Classbook product was introduced to nearly 400 schools in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong and Da Nang. Many students and teachers decided to use the product.

Electronic textbooks today are no longer a research or experimental concept. In some countries such as the US, France, Korea, India, Singapore or Thailand, there have been initiatives or programs to build and deploy the use of electronic textbooks on a large scale. It can be said that this is an inevitable trend of modern education.

In Vietnam, since 2009, the Vietnam Education Publishing House has cooperated with a Korean partner to carry out the first experiments on electronic textbooks. In 2012, the Vietnam Education Publishing House established the Education Electronic Book Joint Stock Company (EDC) - with the main function and task of developing and deploying electronic textbooks on specialized learning devices Classbook, transferring the content of textbooks currently used in schools and preparing for the goal of renewing textbooks after 2015.

Representative of the Education Publishing House, Mr. Ngo Tran Ai - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Vietnam Education Publishing House emphasized: "With a development orientation in line with the trend of modern education, based on the combined strength of hardware, software and content technology, combining the traditional pedagogy of textbooks and new educational methods through human-computer interaction, the Vietnam Education Publishing House believes that Classbook will be a pioneering product not only domestically but also in the region in this field. We hope that this product will bring teachers and students quality content, further enhancing the role of the Vietnam Education Publishing House in the task of providing textbooks and educational equipment for the Vietnamese market, making a positive contribution to education in particular and the modernization of the country in general"./.
