Launching the yearbook of former political prisoners and prisoners of war
After more than two years of implementation, on the morning of December 24, the Liaison Committee of Former Political Prisoners and Prisoners of War of Ho Chi Minh City organized the launching of the yearbook "Former Political Prisoners and Prisoners of War of Ho Chi Minh City - Characters and Events".
The 1,520-page booklet is divided into four main parts. Part one is the preface, the handwriting of President Truong Tan Sang and articles by leaders and former leaders of the Party and State. Part two introduces the enemy's investigation and exploitation network and prison system in the South and Saigon; the plots and tricks of colonialists, imperialists and their lackeys against political prisoners and prisoners of war; some articles about former prisoners. Part three is the list of former political prisoners and prisoners of war of 24 districts and towns in the city. Part four is an appendix.
To create this yearbook, the Liaison Committee of Former Political Prisoners and Prisoners of War of Ho Chi Minh City is responsible for the characters, events, documents and fundraising; Tin Nghia Event Joint Stock Company is responsible for the techniques, art, printing and distribution.
The yearbook gathers almost all the images of former political prisoners and prisoners of war who are living, working and operating in the city, which has very valuable traditional educational value for the younger generation.
