Launch of "Dang Thuy Tram's Diary" in Russian

On the afternoon of July 24, at the Hanoi Library, the East-West Language and Culture Center and the family of martyr Dang Thuy Tram held a launching ceremony for the book "Dang Thuy Tram's Diary" in Russian.
The book “Dang Thuy Tram’s Diary” in Russian, published with support from the East-West Language and Culture Center, is the result of a cooperation program between translators from the Institute of Oriental Studies (under the Russian Academy of Sciences) and the “May Thang Long Moscow” club.
This diary gives Russian readers a new perspective on Vietnam's war for independence. Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang - the person who came up with the idea of translating Dang Thuy Tram's Diary into Russian shared: "We were born in war, witnessed it, and what belongs to war belongs to us and our generation. Dang Thuy Tram's Diary is an unprecedented diary of our nation. A soldier writes a diary, she personally becomes a literary figure, a lyrical character and an event character are one. I am a person attached to Russia, I think it is necessary to translate this book into Russian so that Russian friends can know it."
