Launching book about General Vo Nguyen Giap in Thai
The book written by author Sukprida Banomyong is titled Vo Nguyen Giap, the great general of President Ho Chi Minh.

On this occasion, a book about General Vo Nguyen Giap in Thai was also introduced.
It is known that Mr. Sukprida is the son of the late Thai Prime Minister Pridi Banomyong (1900-1983).
Mr. Sukprida said: “With the two books I wrote about President Ho Chi Minh (published in 2006) and General Vo Nguyen Giap, I want Thai people to understand more about Vietnamese history, especially from the period when French colonialists began invading Vietnam until 1975.” Mr. Sukprida met the General five times in Vietnam. He wrote this book in two years. It is the result of synthesizing documents and directly interviewing the General.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Duy Hung said the book will help Thai people better understand the people and the struggle to protect the Fatherland of Vietnam.
