Launching campaign to maintain and repair rural roads

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 24 and 25, on the roads leading to the center of Tam Son commune (Anh Son district), people and vehicles such as excavators, bulldozers, cars, wheelbarrows, tire carts, etc., along with hoes, shovels, shovels, saws, etc. were busy digging, filling, leveling, bulldozing, clearing sewers, roadsides, and sidewalks; removing and dismantling obstacles, trees, and fences encroaching on traffic safety corridors to maintain, repair, and widen roads and sidewalks, increasing the lifespan of roads that have been invested in and built in the commune.

Implementing Directive 25 of the Standing Committee of Anh Son District Party Committee on implementing the maintenance and repair of rural roads, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and political organizations of Tam Son commune have mobilized the entire political system to seriously and effectively implement the Directive. In the first campaign, nearly 2,000 cadres, party members and people of Tam Son commune enthusiastically took to the streets to participate in the maintenance and repair of rural roads. The delegation of Anh Son district leaders led by comrade Le Hong Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee, inspected and encouraged the people of Tam Son commune to carry out the maintenance and repair of rural roads.

Tam Son commune has 47 km of rural roads, of which 7 km of inter-commune rural roads have been asphalted and 10 km of inter-village roads have been built to meet A and B road standards. Since 2008, implementing Resolution No. of the District People's Council on the process of maintenance, repair and repair of roads, in communes and towns, the work of maintaining and repairing roads has been gradually deployed, contributing to making village roads and alleys cleaner, more beautiful and ensuring convenience, serving the effective exploitation and use of invested works.

However, awareness of responsibility for management, maintenance and repair of local roads is generally not high; awareness of self-protection and self-repair of local roads of each household and each locality is still limited; there is still a situation of relying on the State's investment in repair... Besides, the number of vehicles is increasing, the vehicle load is getting larger, while the traffic infrastructure, although developed, still cannot meet the requirements. Therefore, the situation of rural traffic works in the commune is deteriorating more and more quickly after being put into use but not being maintained and repaired in a timely manner, leading to the situation that some parts of the asphalt and concrete traffic works have degraded, causing difficulties for people's travel and transportation.

Leaders of Anh Son district directly went to the scene to encourage people to take part in maintaining rural traffic roads.

To contribute to increasing the "lifespan" of rural traffic works, effectively promoting the investment capital of the State and the people, the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Tam Son commune have mobilized the entire political system to direct, propagate and mobilize people in the commune to maintain and repair traffic roads. During this campaign, the people of Tam Son commune joined hands to clean and clear the road corridor, clearing about 8 km of road and clearing 39 km of village roads.

At the end of the campaign, the Party Committee and the government of Tam Son commune held a meeting to review experiences to continue to effectively carry out road maintenance in the coming time. Comrade Bui Van Ngoc, Party Secretary and Comrade Nguyen Van Toan, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee chaired the meeting and highlighted the effective ways of Tam Son in the first campaign. On behalf of the district leaders, Comrade Nguyen Huu Sang, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee acknowledged the ways and results achieved by Tam Son in implementing the construction of traffic infrastructure in the commune and noted some things that Tam Son needs to overcome in road maintenance. At the same time, he hoped that all Tam Son people would continue to promote the spirit and effectiveness of this road construction campaign to effectively carry out the movement of road maintenance and repair in the whole commune in the coming time to better serve the people's lives, contributing to promoting economic development in the commune.

Also on this occasion, in addition to checking the maintenance of rural roads, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Secretary of the District Party Committee and leaders of Anh Son district visited and presented gifts to 2 policy families in Tam Son commune.
