Review and inspect the closure of mineral mines

(Official Dispatch No. 3649/UBND-TN, dated June 3, 2013)

To rectify and handle violations of mineral management by relevant organizations and individuals in the process of implementing mineral mine closure activities in the province, the Provincial People's Committee has the following opinions:

1. Require organizations and individuals to implement mine closure work in mining areas according to the project approved by competent authorities; the implementation process must comply with requirements on labor safety, labor hygiene and protection of mineral resources as prescribed by law.

2. Assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to: Inspect, review, and urge the mine closure of organizations and individuals to rectify and handle cases that do not implement the approved mine closure plan; advise the Provincial People's Committee to handle cases beyond its authority.

Organize acceptance of completed mine closure cases, advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a decision to close the mine, and hand it over to local management.

Report the implementation results of the above contents to the Provincial People's Committee before June 30, 2013.

Upon receipt of this dispatch, the Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and heads of relevant agencies are requested to strictly implement it.
