Review the licensing process for mineral exploitation activities in the area

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 22, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting for May 2014. Attending the meeting were comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Overview of the working session

In May, all levels and sectors focused on directing the development of assigned programs and projects in the Action Plan to implement Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

In the agricultural sector, the province directs the care of spring crops, and has a plan to regulate water resources for production. Currently entering the hot season, forest fire prevention work is being strengthened by localities. The whole province is focusing on implementing new rural construction, striving to complete the plan of 14 communes registering to meet the new rural criteria, replicating the model to the remaining communes across the province; dividing and controlling the use of cement reasonably and in accordance with regulations.

Industrial production still faces many difficulties, greatly affecting socio-economic development. The province has many solutions to direct the speed up of project implementation, especially projects that have signed investment cooperation agreements. The province focuses on thoroughly handling the problems in site clearance of National Highway 1A; to speed up the progress of key projects; to strengthen the work of collecting the state budget in 2014, the Provincial People's Committee organized an online conference with relevant departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of districts, cities and towns on solutions to speed up the progress of budget collection in 2014.

The Provincial People's Committee has assigned tasks and urged the sectors to prepare the contents to be submitted to the 11th session of the 16th term of the Provincial People's Council for the Provincial People's Committee to listen and give opinions at the meeting in May 2014 and expected at the meeting in early June 2014.

Some cultural and social fields continued to have positive changes. Proactively implemented plans to prevent epidemics, especially the measles epidemic which is developing complicatedly, to prevent large and medium epidemics from occurring in the area. Directed the completion of the school year program, seriously implemented the pilot admission at all levels. Continued to direct the strict implementation of Directive No. 17-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on strengthening discipline and administrative discipline in agencies and units in the province. The political situation and national defense and security in the area were maintained.

Concluding the working session, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong highly appreciated the work results of all levels and sectors. He noted: Strengthening the direction and reviewing the settlement of cement for new rural construction; reviewing the process of granting mineral exploitation licenses; speeding up the settlement of completed projects using the state budget; urgently completing the expansion of the Southeast Economic Zone and handing over the land for signed projects. All levels and sectors, according to their functions and tasks, shall well implement and complete the set targets and plans.
