Garbage filled the dike of Bung River in Dien Chau
The situation of littering along the Bung River dike corridor through Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district causes serious environmental pollution, making people in the surrounding area worried about the danger of disease outbreaks.
The Bung River dike in Trung Hong hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district is over 700 meters long. Although there are signs prohibiting dumping on the route, people still dump waste indiscriminately, causing serious environmental pollution.
Not only is garbage dumped on the dike body, but it also overflows onto the surface of the dike, and in many sections it spills down into the Bung River, polluting the water source.

In particular, this area has a garbage collection point, but every day many people still dump garbage directly into the Bung River dike. There are times when Dien Ngoc commune has to use excavators to collect and process it, but it is not enough.
Mr. Tran Van Tinh in Dien Ngoc commune - a resident who regularly passes through here said: This landfill stinks all year round, affecting people passing through here and households living nearby.

Discussing the above issue, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Dien Ngoc Commune People's Committee said: This landfill in Trung Hong hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune was formed in 2014, dumped by people of Dien Ngoc commune.
Faced with that situation, since 2017, the commune has planned this place to become a waste collection area and signed a contract of 1.5 billion VND/year with Dien Chau Green Environment Company to collect waste, the unit transports waste 3 times/day to Nghi Yen Solid Waste Treatment Complex in Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district.

Although Dien Chau Green Environment Company collects waste every 3 days, it has not yet collected all the waste at this collection site. To handle this situation, the commune will inspect and supervise, requiring Dien Chau Green Environment Company to collect all the remaining waste at the collection site to minimize environmental pollution. At the same time, the commune will arrange forces to rectify the situation of people illegally dumping waste along the Bung River dike...
