Currently in the main harvest season, the price of coriander in Dien Thai commune has dropped to the lowest price ever, only 3,000 VND/kg. Ms. Phan Thi Lam, a coriander grower, said that in 2017, she converted 3 sao of rice land to grow VietGAP coriander. At times, the price of vegetables reached 15,000 VND/kg, so 1 sao earned 20 million VND, 4-5 times more than growing rice. However, this year the purchase price has dropped to only 3,000 VND/kg.
According to Ms. Dinh Thi Trang - Agricultural officer of Dien Thai commune: Currently, coriander is not only grown in home gardens but also in concentrated areas in the fields, with very systematic investment. If well cared for, coriander can be harvested all year round, with a yield of about 3 tons/sao/year.

According to the rule of previous years, at the beginning of the year, this vegetable usually goes down in price, but around May and June, when the summer is hot and spices are scarce, the price of coriander will increase from 6,000 - 10,000 VND/kg.
Although the price is cheap, cilantro is still purchased by traders every day, not leaving it in stock with the people, consuming 1 - 1.8 tons per day. To ensure a stable output for cilantro, after being recognized as VietGAP, the Dien Thai commune government has brought cilantro to participate in many fairs, attracting facilities to purchase the product. However, there are only a few small facilities purchasing, so the current output is still unstable.
