Robots replace workers in iPhone production |
The company has been accused more than once of neglecting working conditions in its factories. There have been numerous suicides among its workers and dormitory living conditions need to be improved.
In response to criticism, Foxconn promised to improve working conditions for employees, and through optimization, the staff was replaced by robots.
Reducing the growing number of workers by replacing them with robots could cause serious social problems in the region. Most of the workers working in the factory come from migrant farming regions in the country.
