In a statement, the Dominican Civil Aviation Authority said there were seven people on board the plane en route from Punta Cana to Arroyo Barril, but did not specify how many were Spanish and how many were British or their identities.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the Sky-High Piper plane crash.
