Falling into the water, 2 people died overnight

(Baonghean.vn) -On the evening of December 25, in Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen) and Hung Dong commune (Vinh city), there were 2 drowning incidents that resulted in 2 deaths.

The victim was identified as Hoang Van Cuong (born in 1978, residing in Khoa Da 1 hamlet, Hung Tay commune). Cuong has been paralyzed since childhood and has to use a wheelchair to get around. This morning, people passing through the irrigation canal, the section flowing through Khoa Da 1 hamlet, discovered the victim dead in the water, the wheelchair still stuck on the bank. According to the people, it is possible that last night, on his way home, Cuong fell into the ditch. Because he was not discovered and given timely first aid, the victim froze to death.

Also last night, at a brick kiln that had stopped operating in Trung My hamlet (Hung Dong commune), Mr. Tran Van Binh (residing in My Long hamlet, Hung Dong commune) fell into a lake. Although he was discovered by local people, brought to shore to light a fire to warm himself and organized emergency care, Mr. Binh did not survive. On the morning of December 26, police forces were present at the scene to investigate the cause of the above accident.
