The Brazilian Football Federation has decided to use the friendly match with Romania on June 7 to bid farewell to "Alien" Ronaldo.

On Valentine's Day, Ronaldo decided to say goodbye to his illustrious football career. However, before that, the striker who won the World Player of the Year award three times had not yet officially bid farewell to the Brazilian national team. The last time he wore the Yellow-Green shirt was a sad memory, when Brazil lost 0-1 to France in the quarter-finals of the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Therefore, to pay tribute to the "Alien," the Brazilian Football Federation decided to have a friendly match with Romania to bid farewell to the player who contributed greatly to helping the "Selecao" win the world championship for the 5th time at the 2002 World Cup. This match is expected to be held at Sao Paulo's Pacaembu Stadium on June 7.

Speaking to the press, President of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ricardo Teixeira said: "Ronaldo deserves to have a farewell match with the Brazilian shirt on this very land. I am sure it will be a great memory for him."

In addition, on March 8, Ronaldo will also have another farewell match when he and former players such as Romario, Bebeto, Dunga... play a friendly match with the Checnya club Terek Grozny. This is also the team that is asking Ronaldo to temporarily... cancel his retirement decision to play in the Russian championship, like his teammate Roberto Carlos (playing for Dagestan's Anzhi).

During his playing career, Ronaldo participated in 4 World Cups with Brazil from 1994 to 2006, and he and his teammates won the championship twice (1994 and 2002). Until now, Ronaldo is still the top scorer of the biggest football festival on the planet with 15 goals.

Previously, Brazilian football legends such as Romario, Zico and Pele were also given official farewell matches by the Brazilian Football Confederation. As for Ronaldo, he will also have another farewell match.
