Cristiano Ronaldo was in particularly good form in Real's victory. The striker scored four goals for his team in just 26 minutes, including a superb long-range strike and a beautiful free-kick.
Ronaldo's effective contribution and the remaining three goals from Pepe, Jese and Bale brought Real to a result beyond the fans' expectations: beating Celta Vigo, the team competing for a ticket to the Europa League next season, with a score greater than a tennis set. This is also the biggest victory of the Madrid giant under the leadership of new coach Zinedine Zidane.
Playing well in the first half, Celta Vigo initially did not look like a team that would be "destroyed" by Real like Rayo Vallecano, Espanyol or Malmo. Coach Eduardo Berizzo's team even nearly opened the scoring in the 14th minute when they had a chance to face goalkeeper Keylor Navas. In this situation, Aspas was too clumsy with a header hitting the crossbar and two shots that could not beat the opposing goalkeeper.
Faced with increasing pressure from Real, Celta Vigo did not seem to be about to collapse. With a deep defensive style, especially the excellent form of goalkeeper Ruben Blanco, the away team successfully escaped at least three dangerous situations before the opening goal. Celta Vigo only began to lose when they could not stop Pepe's dangerous header from a corner kick in the 41st minute.

Real's magnificent victory was directly related to Ronaldo's performance. In an exciting day of competition, CR7 not only scored many goals but also re-conquered the audience with his high aesthetic. The clearest example of Ronaldo's peak performance was the shot from 35m to make it 2-0: the ball spun at great speed, leaving goalkeeper Blanco helpless. In the next scoring situation, Ronaldo continued to impress with a free kick that flew straight into the top corner of the goal, something the striker has rarely done recently. The other two goals were not more beautiful but also came from neat finishes, ending 26 minutes of sublime play by the former best player in the world.
As if shocked by the sudden change in the game, Celta Vigo showed signs of collapse as they played. Aspas's accurate volley in the 62nd minute was only a small honor, and could not help the visitors leave with their heads held high. Celta Vigo even conceded two more goals in the final minutes of the match in a silly way: allowing Jese to steal the ball from midfield and failing to stop Gareth Bale's simple cross-angle shot.
Besides the big score difference, Real also had another success in this match thanks to the performance of the players who rarely played. Names like Borja Mayoral, Vazquez, Kovacic, Casemiro merged into a unified block with Ronaldo, Isco, Pepe, Sergio Ramos. Real's flexible play made fans forget that Marcelo, Bale, James Rodriguez all started on the bench, while Kroos and Modric were not even on the list due to injury.

With the victory over Celta Vigo, Real has a total of 60 points after 28 rounds of La Liga. Still nine points behind Barca and one point behind Atletico (these two teams played late), the Bernabeu team can consider the biggest harvest from Celta Vigo to be the spirit rather than the result. This is also a good preparation before coach Zidane and his team welcome AS Roma in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 next week.
