Ronaldo sets record of scoring more than 50 goals each year for 7 consecutive years
The new owner of the 2017 Golden Ball set another record for scoring goals in a Real Madrid shirt.
Cristiano Ronaldo's scoring record in 2017 decreased compared to previous years. However, with a double against Sevilla in La Liga on the evening of December 9, he had 51 goals in 2017, including for the national team.
This is the seventh consecutive time the Portuguese superstar has scored 50 or more goals in a year, starting from 2011 - when he scored 60 goals.

The 50-goal mark is hard to achieve. Robert Lewandowski only reached it for the first time in 2017. The Polish striker is tied with Edinson Cavani and Lionel Messi for the most goals scored this year, with 52, one more than Ronaldo.
Harry Kane is also on the list of players who have scored 50 or more goals in 2017. The English striker is in fifth place, and has just completed his target with a double against Stoke City.
