Mangrove forests in Nghe An are being killed by waste
(Baonghean.vn) - Along the ecological road along Lam River through Phuc Tho Commune (Nghi Loc District), rows of mangrove, bauhinia, and su trees planted to block waves have their trunks and branches covered with trash.
The mangrove forests most "parasitic" by trash are in the section passing through Nhu Phong hamlet, Phuc Tho commune (Nghi Loc district). Here, the entire forest, hundreds of meters long, is covered with countless plastic bags and snake skins hanging from the trunks and branches.

According to a local resident living here, this situation has been around for a long time, especially after storm No. 10, when more garbage was dumped and stuck in the mangrove forest. When the water receded, it left behind a messy, unsightly scene.
