Shorten customs clearance time by 4 days

Previously, the customs clearance time for goods in Vietnam was 21 days, now it is only 17-18 days.
The business community highly appreciates NSW for helping to simplify procedures, improve the business environment, and enhance national competitiveness.
Applying NSW, instead of import-export goods records including many types of documents such as declarations, contracts, inspection papers, quarantine, and commodity standard certificates, enterprises only have to provide a single declaration. At the same time, NSW allows to reduce time and costs for enterprises in the process of carrying out procedures between state agencies when implementing electronic mechanisms (including Customs, ministries and branches related to licensing, implementing standard inspection, and quarantine of goods).
When sending information from enterprises to NSW, it will be received and processed in 5 steps: Enterprises send information; NSW Portal receives information; Information is automatically transferred by NSW Portal to relevant units for processing. After receiving information, agencies will process according to internal business procedures; After receiving the processing results, the units will transfer the information back to NSW Portal and the Portal will transfer the processing results of all agencies to enterprises.
According to the plan, from June 2015, the administrative procedures of the Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources and Environment, and Health will be connected; ready to connect to the ASEAN Single Window Mechanism. From 2016: expand the connection of administrative procedures for licensing export, import, and transit goods of the remaining Ministries and sectors.
