Shorten tax administrative procedures

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 18, the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee, headed by Ms. Thai Thi An Chung - Deputy Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee, had a working session with the Nghe An Tax Department on administrative reform.

In recent times, Nghe An Tax Department has been one of the units that has performed well in administrative reform. Effectively implementing the reduction and shortening of the time to handle tax administrative procedures; Shortening the time to handle many administrative procedures, thereby creating maximum convenience for people and organizations when coming to transact at the tax office; Organizing "Replying to tax policies in writing"; Committing and proposing to reduce the time to handle tax administrative procedures from 10 days to 7 days; Reducing the procedure "Confirming tax obligations" from 5 working days to 2 working days or implementing immediately. The implementation results reached 98% of the records returning results before the deadline and on time as committed.

Comrade Tran Quoc Hao - Director of the Department of Justice recommended that Nghe An Tax Department should promote the implementation of electronic tax payment services for branches.

Along with that, Nghe An Tax Department has done a good job of applying information technology to administrative reform. Organizing online meetings, building coordination regulations with banks to implement electronic tax payment to reduce time and travel costs for taxpayers. Notably, in the first 6 months of the year, Nghe An Tax Department is the leading unit in the country in implementing electronic tax payment, and is considered the leading unit in the index of readiness to apply information technology of the Tax sector.

In the coming time, Nghe An Tax Department will continue to implement state administrative reform projects, focusing on taxpayers, and initially promote the implementation of electronic tax payment to all businesses in the area according to the roadmap set by the General Department of Taxation of Vietnam.
