(Baonghean.vn) -To build the Hua Na hydroelectric plant, Que Phong district had to relocate 1,362 households to new residences. On July 4, the last household left the reservoir area and moved to a new residence.
Of the total 1,362 relocated households, 484 households were resettled voluntarily and 878 households were resettled in a concentrated manner according to the project's planning. Currently, 13 resettlement sites have completed site clearance. Most of the households who moved from their old houses or built new houses have settled down. Currently, contractors are working with investors to construct items at the resettlement sites so that people can soon stabilize their lives. With the efforts of each family and the attention of all levels and sectors, life in the resettlement areas is gradually stabilizing. There are still many difficulties and hardships that they have to overcome, but there are positive signs.
At Pieng Cu resettlement area in Dong Van commune, the earliest village relocated since 2010, life here has now stabilized.
